Forumaker ("we", "our", or "us") built the TocBook app ("the Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service, and the choices you have associated with that data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Feedback & support: information you send when you contact us (your email address and message content).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the app, certain information is collected automatically, including:

• Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), and language settings.
• Usage data: features you use, screens visited, session duration, and interaction events.
• Crash data: diagnostic logs and stack traces when the app crashes or encounters errors.
• Approximate location: derived from IP address or device settings (we do not collect precise GPS location).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the app;
• Improve, personalize, and develop new features;
• Analyze usage trends and app performance;
• Detect, prevent, and fix crashes and technical issues;
• Display advertisements (including personalized ads, where permitted);
• Respond to your support requests and feedback.

3. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These services have their own privacy policies:

Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Android device settings under Settings → Google → Ads, or by deleting/resetting your Advertising ID.

4. App Permissions

The app may request the following permissions, used only for the purposes described:

• Internet access: required to load content, ads, and send analytics.
• Camera / Photos: e.g., to let you upload a profile picture. Only accessed when you use the feature. — adjust or delete to match your app
• Notifications: to send you reminders/updates. — delete if not applicable

We never access permissions for purposes other than those stated.

5. Data Retention

We retain automatically collected data (analytics and crash logs) for a maximum of 14 months, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve your request. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

6. Data Security

We value your trust and use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., by resetting your Advertising ID or uninstalling the app).

EEA/UK users (GDPR): our legal bases for processing are your consent (analytics, personalized ads) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the app. California users (CCPA): we do not sell your personal information.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
